Convergence Churches seek to unite ALL Christians on the continuum from Roman Catholic to New Thought where all views are blended.
Unlike the Restorationist Movement which sought to unite towards primitive Apostolic Christianity, Convergence seeks what it calls a future of the "Ancient Future Faith". (a few even blend in a little Gnosticism and ancient Egyptian practices)

It began denominationally with the Charismatic Episcopal Church in the 1980's started by Anglicans and quickly spread.
